Helm Invests in the Future with Their First Apprentice

Here at The Corner, we love seeing our businesses grow, and we’re delighted to celebrate with Helm as they welcome their first ever Apprentice Quantity Surveyor.

18-year-old Harry Parkinson is a local lad and has joined the Helm team alongside studying for his degree at Northumbria University. It’s the start of his career in construction, and Helm are giving him the opportunity to learn on the job, gain hands-on project experience, and be supported by an experienced team.

For Helm, this is about more than just one new starter. Apprenticeships bring fresh ideas and energy into the workplace, while helping businesses like Helm plan for the future by developing talent from the ground up. It’s also a great example of how local companies are investing in young people and creating opportunities right here in Newcastle.

Helm has always championed a supportive and flexible approach to work, and that extends to their apprentices too. By giving Harry the space to balance his studies with his role, they’re helping him thrive both at university and within the business.

We’re excited to see Harry’s journey unfold, and it’s great to see investment in the future of the industry and our people right here in Newcastle!

Helm are just one of many businesses thriving here at The Corner. Why not join them? Get in touch to find out more!
